The Department
of Foreign Languages is happy to announce Marmara Schools’ 12th ELT Conference
entitled “NEW ACADEMIC WAVES” to be held on Saturday May 7, 2005.
The Conference
aims to focus on the New Perspectives in National Education, where an
opportunity will be created to review the strategies and practices to meet the
challenges in English Language Teaching.
Chairman of Ministry of Education Training Committee Ziya
SELÇUK will be the keynote speaker at the Conference
and thus the participants will be informed of the most recent changes in the
primary and secondary education curricula.
Another issue
that will be focused on is Brain Awareness and its implications in the
classroom. The conference will create a platform for the participants to gain a
deeper insight into the different learning abilities of the students and as a
result we will be forced to be more selective in the choice of class materials
and methods.
Kindly find
enclosed a CALL for PAPERS for the conference. May those interested in running
a workshop please complete the forms and return them to the address below by
March 25th latest. Your experiences will be an invaluable asset to the
conference.
